Tuning AIX System Environment
Perform the following system tuning and configuration all cluster nodes.
- Tuning Virtual Memory Manager (VMM)
Oracle recommends that you use thevmo
command to tune virtual memory. - Tuning Virtual Processor Manager (VPM)
Oracle recommends that you use thevpm_xvcpus
command to tune virtual processor. - Increasing System Block Size Allocation
Perform the following tuning configuration on AIX systems. - Configuring SSH LoginGraceTime Parameter for AIX
On AIX systems, configure the OpenSSH parameter to avoid timeout errors. - Configuring User Process Parameters
Verify that the maximum number of processes allowed for each user is set to 16384 or greater. - Configuring Network Tuning Parameters
View the current value specified for network tuning parameters, and change them if necessary. - Recommended Values for Network Tuning Parameters
Verify that the network tuning parameters are set to the values shown or higher values.
