Review the following operating system checklist for all installations.

| Review operating system security standards | Secure operating systems are an important basis for general system security. |
| Verify Privileges for Copying Files in the Cluster | During installation, OUI copies the software from the local node to the remote nodes in the cluster. The installation user must have Administrator privileges on the other nodes in the cluster to copy the files. |
| Configure Remote Desktop Services | If you want to enable remote display of the installation process, then configure remote access for necessary user accounts. |
| Disable Windows Firewall | If the Windows Firewall is enabled, then remote copy and configuration assistants such as Virtual IP Configuration Assistant (VIPCA), Network Configuration Assistant (NETCA), and Oracle Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) will fail during Oracle RAC installation. |
