Copying the Oracle Database Client Software to a Hard Disk

Oracle recommends that you copy the installation software to the hard disk to enable the installation to run faster.

To copy the contents of the installation media to a hard disk, perform the following steps:

Create a directory on your hard drive. For example:
```
C:\> mkdir \install
C:\> mkdir \install\database
```
Copy the contents of the installation media to the directory that you just created.
