Figure roles-responsibilities.png illustrates how Oracle Database Vault roles are categorized. The roles fall into four categories, which are as follows, from top to bottom:

• Security administrative roles: DV_OWNER, DV_ADMIN, DV_MONITOR, DV_SECANALYST, DV_PATCH_ADMIN, DV_XSTREAMS_ADMIN, DV_GOLDENGATE_ADMIN, DV_GOLDENGATE_REDO_ACCESS, DV_AUDIT_CLEANUP

• Account management responsibility role: DV_ACCTMGR

• Resource management role: DV_POLICY_OWNER
